Summer Bridge To College

As students look toward their future career goals, The Summer Bridge to College mission is to give students the confidence and continuous support they need to take their next steps successfully—ensuring they don't fall victim to the phenomenon known as “Summer Melt.”

ABCUSD’s initiative to prevent students from “melting” is to extend our commitment to students well beyond graduation, ensuring no graduate falls through the cracks during the critical post high school transition. Counselors work through the summer months and actively guide students through complex administrative portals, time-sensitive deadlines, and financial aid packages. By providing this continuous, hands-on mentorship, we equip graduates with the practical tools and personal confidence required to overcome summer obstacles and successfully launch into their future careers and college experiences.
