Permits

The ABC Unified School District will begin accepting Inter-district permit applications for the 2023-2024 school year after April 1, 2023. Priority is not on a first come, first served basis. All permits will be submitted to the ABC Unified School District (ABCUSD) Child Welfare and Attendance Office. 
 
This inter-district application process is for students who reside outside of ABCUSD boundaries. When the application period opens the following information will be required at the time of submission to complete the inter-district application.
  1. Approved release (permit) from your current district of residence
  2. Student(s) current grades
  3. Student(s) attendance record
  4. Student(s) behavior/discipline report (if no record exists, please submit a note to indicate no record of discipline exists)
  5. Student(s) IEP or 504 plan (if applicable)
Submitting an incomplete application will delay processing of a permit. 
 
Permit approval, denial, and revocation is based on space and availability, the student's academic progress, attendance, and behavior. Site administrators review all permits periodically. If a permit is accepted, students are expected to maintain satisfactory academic achievement and behavior.

This Inter-District application process is for students who reside outside of ABCUSD boundaries. All  permits are submitted to the Child Welfare and Attendance Office. Please be aware that filling out this form does not guarantee enrollment.

  1. Approved release (permit) from your current district of residence

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Please read all instructions carefully before completing the application. 


All applications to be submitted must include: 

  1. Inter-District transfer application (Outgoing)  
  2. A copy of the most current transcript/report card. 
  3. Documentation requested to support each reason provided. Below is a chart of documentation that must be attached to the application at the time of submission. Please note that incomplete applications will not be processed. 
  4. Please submit all completed documentation  to [email protected]
