Message About Recent Tragic Events

We’ve seen a number of tragic events in our local communities and across the nation. As a District, we want to make sure those who are impacted by these events or have previous experiences with these types of traumatic events have resources available to help them.

If your child is experiencing trauma due to hearing about or experiencing a traumatic event, we urge you to get them the support they need through their healthcare provider, school Mental Health Professional, or through Care Solace, the District’s partner in finding mental health support. We’ve also attached links to resources with this email that include tips about how to talk with children after tragic events.

We know the impact a child’s well-being has on their education, and we are here to support our students and families.

Thank you.
