At Juarez Academy, we focus on the development of 21st-century skills. We believe that it is our responsibility to spark passion in our students for critical and creative thinking. Our goal is to equip students with the necessary skills for success, empower them to help others and inspire them to have a positive impact on the world. We center student learning on the engineering design process as a thinking framework to help build the skills that students will need to be successful in college, career and in life. We want students to be inspired to innovate, driven to collaborate, and moved to show empathy for others.

Juarez Academy utilizes Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). We believe that PBIS helps to support students in their acquisition of appropriate behaviors, and helps to provide a positive learning environment for all students. MANDARIN IMMERSION
New to Juarez Academy, dual language immersion is a unique educational experience with the goal of developing bi-literacy, bilingualism, and bi-cultural attitudes in elementary students. The new Kindergarten cohort begins in the Fall of 2020.
PARENT AND COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
Juarez embodies a vibrant culture and will continue to do so through innovative programs and creative parent and community partnerships. There are many opportunities for parent engagement at Juarez Academy such as School Site Council, English Learner Advisory Committee, volunteering in the classroom and Juarez Boosters. Our wonderfully supportive Juarez Booster Parents sponsor various activities such as Trunk or Treat, Jog-a-thon, Science Family Night, Family Art Night, Family Picnic on the Grass, Community Read Aloud and many other fundraisers, family nights, field trips, and assemblies. Because we value our parent community and recognize that effective communication promotes this partnership, we use a variety of communication tools – our school website, email communications, Instagram, Twitter, and REMIND.
