The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) is a computer-based test that measures what students know an can do based on the California academic content standards and English language development standards. The CAASPP is taken on a yearly bases and produces scores that can be aggregated and disaggregated for the purpose of informing parents/guardians, local educational agencies (LEAs), and the public.

The CAASPP assessments:

  • Produce results to meet the requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act, enacted on December 10. 2015, which reauthorized the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965.
