Carl Perkins Program

ABCUSD receives federal Perkins funding to help build CTE Programs.The Carl Perkins Grant is a federally funded act approved by Congress to support Career Technical Education (CTE) Programs for secondary students. A Perkins Program is “a sequence of courses (or opportunities) that provides individuals with coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers in current or emerging professions.”

The goal is to provide a variety of career pathways so students graduate and are college and career prepared, as well as, ready with jobs that employment.
