New Principals Named

Cerritos Elementary School, Fedde Middle School, and Haskell Middle School will all have "new" principals to begin the 2021-2022 school year. 
Craig Spratt - Cerritos Elementary School
Mr. Spratt is a product of the ABC Unified School District, having graduated from Gahr High School. He earned both his Bachelor of Arts degree in Education, a minor in Early Childhood Education, and his teaching credentials from Hope International University. He earned his Master of Education in Educational Management from the University of LaVerne. During his time at ABCUSD, Mr. Spratt has taught at Aloha Elementary, Cerritos Elementary, and Leal Elementary. He has also served as the assistant to the principal at Leal Elementary and as secondary school dean at Whitney High School.
Denise Macias - Fedde Middle School
Ms. Macias began teaching at Artesia High School before moving into administration. She has been serving as the interim principal at Fedde Academy this school year. Ms. Macias is a product of Hawaiian Gardens, attending Furgeson Elementary, Fedde Academy, and graduating from Artesia High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from California State University, Long Beach, and a Master’s of Arts degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University.
Valerie Gutierrez - Haskell Middle School
Ms. Gutierrez began her career as a counselor at Jefferson Middle School in the San Gabriel Unified School District before moving to the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District, where she was both a counselor and a teacher. She moved to ABCUSD, serving as a counselor and dean of students at Artesia High School, and was most recently the dean of students at Tetzlaff Middle School. Ms. Gutierrez also served as the summer school principal at Artesia High School. She earned both her Bachelor of Art’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Business Administration, and her Master’s of Art’s degree in Counseling from Loyola Marymount University.
