ABC Unified School District Board Policy

The ABC Unified School District is committed to the success of all students and believes that every school site should be a safe and welcoming place for all students and their families, irrespective of their citizenship or immigration status. This is reflected in Board Policy and Administrative Regulation 5145.13. 

 

Update:

Recently, Governor Newsom signed Senate Bill 98, the SAFE Act, and Assembly Bill 49 into law. These important measures provide additional protections and safety for schools:
  • AB 49: Prohibits school staff from allowing immigration enforcement officers to enter nonpublic areas of a school without a valid judicial warrant, subpoena, or court order.
  • SAFE Act (SB 98): Requires authorities to alert schools when immigration enforcement is present on or near school grounds.

Política de la Junta del Distrito Escolar Unificado de ABC

El Distrito Escolar Unificado de ABC está comprometido con el éxito de todos los estudiantes y cree que cada escuela debe ser un lugar seguro y acogedor para todos los estudiantes y sus familias, independientemente de su ciudadanía o estatus migratorio. Actualización: 

Recientemente, el Gobernador Newsom firmó el Proyecto de Ley del Senado 98, la Ley SAFE, y el Proyecto de Ley de la Asamblea 49. Estas medidas importantes brindan protecciones adicionales y mayor seguridad a nuestras escuelas:
  • Ley SAFE (SB 98): Requiere que las autoridades notifiquen a las escuelas cuando haya actividades de aplicación de inmigración dentro o cerca de los planteles escolares.
  • AB 49: Prohíbe al personal escolar permitir que agentes de inmigración ingresen a áreas no públicas de una escuela sin una orden judicial válida, citación o mandato judicial.
