ABCUSD School Board Appoints New Member to Fill Vacancy
July 1, 2023 - The ABC Unified School District Board of Education has appointed Mr. Franciso Noyola as the Board Member for Trustee Area 7. Mr. Noyola will serve out the remaining term left vacant by former Board Member Dr. Christopher Apodaca, who resigned in May. The Board interviewed six candidates who submitted completed applications before the deadline of June 23, 2023. All candidates met the criteria of living in Trustee Area 7, being over the age of 18 years, and being registered voters. The applicants were interviewed during a Special Board Meeting held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, and then voted in by the Board.
“I would like to thank all of the candidates who applied to serve as Trustee for Area 7,” said Board President Mr. Brad Beach. “Public service is a calling, and all the candidates did an outstanding job presenting why they wanted to serve on the Board of Education. Ultimately, we were pleased to vote Mr. Noyola to serve out the remainder of Dr. Apodaca’s term.”
