Curriculum & Textbooks

The textbook department works to provide all adopted curriculum materials to school sites. Please refer to the comprehensive list below for questions regarding specific textbooks. The textbook table below contains live links to student login sites for each secondary book. Videos are also available on the bottom of the page to help you with the log in process.

Textbook Adoption Process:

ABC USD follows a comprehensive textbook adoption process. A committee of teachers with representatives from each school site complete an exhaustive evaluation of the state adopted materials using rubrics as recommended by the state frameworks. Schools submit their recommendation and based on the outcome of this vote, a single publisher is then recommended to the ABC Board of Education for official adoption for the textbook adoption cycle. Parents and community members are welcome to be a part of this process during the 30 day review period prior to the final adoption of the textbook. The textbook department will announce the beginning of the 30 day review period in the local newspaper with specific information on dates and times that a professional expert is available for question and answers.

For further questions regarding instructional materials, please contact:

Instructional Materials Technician: Gloria Liu (ext 21217)

Academic Services Department

As part of the textbook adoption process, members of the public have the opportunity to inspect all textbooks and materials being considered for adoption.  Due to current Covid-19 closures and restrictions, physical inspections of textbooks and materials being considered at this time would not be a safe option for the community and staff of ABCUSD.

To comply with public review requirements, we have partnered with the publishers of the textbooks being considered for adoption to offer online access to their materials for review purposes.  To access the materials, use the links to the subjects listed below that are currently in the adoption review process.

If you need any assistance, or are unable to access the link, please contact Gloria Liu,  our District Instructional Materials Technician, at (562) 926-5566, extension 21217, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Thursday (closed Friday).

Please email for questions related to this textbook adoption.
