Whitney High School Admissions - Updates

As per Board Policy/Administrative Regulation 5118.3, individuals who wish to appeal the District's decision to not offer admission must make a request in writing. Please complete and submit the Whitney High School Admissions - Appeal Form (2024) if you wish to request an appeal. Requests for appeals will be reviewed, ensuring that the enrollment and admissions procedures are followed as outlined in BP/AR 5118.3. Please note: Waitlist rankings will not be released as a matter of student privacy. The appeals window will open on February 12th and close February 23rd at 4:00 p.m. The District Administrator designee will review the request in a reasonable time frame and the decision is final.

Invitations have been mailed to students offered admission to enroll at Whitney High School on Friday, February 2, 2024. Students have five days to accept the offer of admission and enroll at Whitney High School, February 5-9, 2024. The District has established a waitlist based on the ranking of composite scores by middle school geographic area for incoming 7th graders. Rankings are confidential. Waitlists for incoming 8-12th grades have also been established.

After the five-day window for initial offers of admission and enrollment has closed, individuals who did not receive an offer of admission will have ten days to request an appeal to the District’s administrator designee. This year, the appeal window is between February 12-23, 2024. All requests must be made in writing via the Whitney High School Admissions Appeal Form. This form will be made available on February 12th on the ABC District Website. The District administrator designee will review the request in a reasonable time frame and the decision is final.
