Governor Newsom has laid out new guidelines for students returning to schools for in-person instruction. A portion of the criteria requires that a local health jurisdiction, in our case Los Angeles County, that is on the statewide monitoring list within the last 14 days “must conduct distance learning only.” With this guidance in mind, along with consideration of input from families and local public health data, the ABC Unified School District will be starting the 2020-2021 school year with instruction through the ABC Virtual Academy on August 24, 2020.
