Secondary Summer School
MIDDLE SCHOOL SUMMER ACADEMY
(for incoming 7th and 8th graders)
LOCATIONS: Students from Carmenita, Ross, and Whitney will attend at Carmenita MS. Students from Fedde, Haskell, and Tetzlaff will attend at Tetzlaff MS. (There is no virtual summer school this year.)
DATES: Wednesday, June 5, 2024, to Wednesday, July 3, 2024. (No class on June 17)
TIME: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (Two 90-minute class periods with a 30 minute break)

HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER ACADEMY
(for incoming 9th - 12th graders)
LOCATIONS: Artesia HS, Gahr HS, and Tracy HS will hold in-person Summer Academies on their campuses. Students from Cerritos HS and Whitney HS will be assigned to either Artesia or Gahr for summer due to ongoing construction on the CHS and WHS campuses. (There is no virtual summer school this year.)
DATES: Wednesday, June 5, 2024, to Thursday, July 11, 2024. (No class on June 17, July 4, or July 5)
TIME: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (Two 2-hour class periods with a 30 minute break)

REGISTRATION: Many students were already pre-enrolled in summer school courses by their Counselors during annual registration meetings in January & February. However, families must confirm the student's commitment to attend summer school by completing the forms available on each Summer Academy website (linked below). Unconfirmed students may be placed on a waiting list and enrolled if/when space is available.
