ABCUSD has been a leader in mental health support for students and families. All our schools have at least one Mental Health Professsional who provide services such as school-based counseling, check-ins, and crisis interventions, our Mental Health Professionals promote student well-being and school engagement

Our Mental Health Professionals are qualified specialists with Master’s Degrees in Social Work (MSW) or a related field. They collaborate with school administrators, psychologists, school counselors, nurses, teachers, and other support staff to promote students’ academic and social-emotional success.
