Fedde Academy students develop a deep understanding of essential knowledge, critical thought, communication, collaboration and creativity through a rigorous curriculum to better prepare students to compete in a global economy.

Fedde International Studies Academy has been honored with the Schools to Watch designation.  It is one of the highest honors a middle school can receive in the United States of America.  The Schools to Watch Award verifies that Fedde Academy has a model middle school program for its students.

Unlike any other ABC Unified School District, our students are enrolled in seven classes, and every student has the opportunity to take two years of Spanish language instruction.  Access to a second language in middle school prepares students to further develop a second language in High School and beyond.

The use of technology as a learning and productivity tool is a critical component of students’ education more than ever.  In addition to three computer laboratories on campus, every classroom is equipped with one-to-one devices. All students complete at least one technology integrated assignment per class each Semester.

At Fedde Academy, we realize not every learner is the same, but every student is capable of growing academically and deserves a high quality education.  Our school provides opportunities for all learners, including A.V.I.D., after-school intervention, extended learning time during Saturday School, the Global Scholars Honors Pre-University Program, and the Rising Stars Mentoring Program.

Project Led the Way electives at Fedde International Studies Academy aim at better preparing our students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education and careers.  Students will have access to courses in Design and Modeling, as well as Robotics and Automation.  Our elective offerings also include Band, History Day, Art, College Readiness, Introduction to Spanish and Spanish I.  As for our Math, Science, Mock Trial, and History teams, they were recognized in local and State competitions last year with medals and top honors, and we look forward to their continued success this school year.

Fedde Middle School’s History Day elective students have participated in the National History Day event for 25 years. For the past eight years, our teams have received awards as L.A. County Champions. In 2014 and 2016, we received the highest honor recognized as California State Champions.     https://sites.google.com/view/fedde-history-day/making-history

Our annual Career Day generates much enthusiasm from students and this event allows our students to discover careers that they could pursue after high school.

The I.C.E.S. After-School program free of charge, which provides students tutoring, intra-mural sports, STEM projects, Robotics and other activities.  Our campus is home to a state of the art sports complex which has football, soccer, baseball, and softball fields, which hosts Middle School Sports competitions during the year and are used by P.E. classes during the day.

We realize that life can present challenges for any family, and the Fedde Community Resource Center is in place to help our community.   If your student hits a bump in the road during middle school, Fedde Middle School has the resources to get them back on the path to success. We are hosts to several counseling agencies that are available to families during school hours and beyond.  The resource center is also home to G.E.D courses in Spanish, parent education workshops, and much more.
